Republic Day

The Indian Republic Day falls on 26th January and is a National Holiday. There are years after Independence, India was declared a Democratic Republic. This means that the people of india started governing themselves according to the constitution written by the constitutent assembly.


                 Delhi,the Capital city is abuzz with activity. Early in the morning people line up along up the RajPath Road tp witness the Republic Day Parade. The Presidant of India takes the salute of the march fast at RajPath and the Parade goes by India Gate.

                Low flying Helicapters shower petals on the visitors.Then come the Marching Betalians of Javans in their short Uniforms. The Armed Forces, Border Security Forces, The Coast guard,The AirForce with their Magestic fighters plains,The heavy Armed tanks and Weaponary, are on display. The Parade by Units of three forces is followed by tableaux from all the states of India.

                Each State sends it's best folk dancers to perform and take part in the Parade. In the end Orange,White,Green Colored Baloons are released in the air. On this day,Bravary Medals are Awarded to the Armed Forces as well as to the Civilians.
